THE WEEK OF MATILDICA BEGINS

The important thing is to participate, but if you win you are happier. So the time has come to talk about the protocol of the awards

Climbing of Dante – 2nd Memorial Gianni Caprari 

Let’s remember some facts: the first participant of the Cronoscalata di Dante will be given the start at 15.30, followed by all the other participants. 

The collection of race bibs and parcels will take place in Piazzale Dante, near the Hermitage of the Stone of Bismantova (Castelnovo ne’ Monti), from 13.00 to 15.00 on Friday 25 August; at those same times last minute participants can also register, the online registration on ENDU will end, in fact, on Thursday 24 August at 12.00, so if you have not registered yet hurry up!

The awards will take place from 5.30 p.m. to the arrival of the competition, here will be awarded the various categories men and women, remember that the first ranked (25% of the participants in each category) will qualify for the 2024 UCI Gran Fondo World Championship. The first absolute man and the first absolute woman will also be awarded the Gianni Caprari Memorial Prize.

The collection of race bibs and parcels will take place in Piazza della Vittoria from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Saturday 26 August and from 6.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Sunday 27 August; during those same times you can still register for the competition by paying a small surcharge, the online registration on ENDU will end, in fact, on Friday 25 August at 12.00 p.m.

The awards will begin with the absolute rankings: the first three men and the first three women to have faced the path of the middle ground and to have reached the finish line (starting at about 11.00 am), followed by the awards by category of the middle ground.

The absolute awards (the first three men and the first three women at the finish line) of the Grand Prix are scheduled at around 12.00, and then resume with the category awards at around 13.20.

At 12.45 p.m. the awards ceremony of the 10 cycling companies with the largest number of riders and the team with the largest number of women at the start are scheduled. To follow will take place the awards of the ASCENT OF THE “SMILE” MICHELE SCARPONI (GPM – ascent Cavandola-Canossa): here will be awarded the first 3 classified men of non-Italian nationality, the first 3 classified women of non-Italian nationality, who will transit first / and to the GPM.
